丛书简介
This series contains the following three volumes:
Why read books written by Christians who lived hundreds of years ago, in other places? What do we have in common with them? What can we learn from them, that we can’t learn from someone who looks and sounds like us, and lives in the same place as us, and at the same time as us?
One answer is that puritan works point directly to that heart-shaking and challenging vision: how Christ makes everything different! Puritans not only pursued pure faith, but also strived to live it out. They did not distinguish between sacred and secular matters in the world, because all things are for the glory of God, and therefore should be holy and dedicated to the Lord. Their spiritual life of unity between knowledge and action serves as a model for believers today to emulate, and this is closely related to their deep reflection on faith.
Through reading and internalizing the spiritual heritage left by the Puritans, we are on the way to live piously and holily yet practically as they did.
